This was executed in 1903 in Delon`s Paris workshop following a model made by
Henri-Marcel Magne (brother of Lucien, architect-restorer of the church). This stained glass refers to the Brotherhood of Notre Dame de la Mi-Aoust.
The main part represents the Assumption of Virgin Mary, carried into heaven by angels, while about ten men and women take part in the scene ; the upper
part of the stained glass depicts angel musicians.
The bottom part presents three grey-hued panels where the glass painter has shown scenes from the life of the Brotherhood of Notre Dame de la Mi-Aoust : paying the
dues, the ritual annual banquet, praying at the foot of the statue of the Nantilly Virgin.
This stained glass, the most beautiful in the church, is highly influenced by Art Nouveau, particularly the subtle harmony of colours ancl the angels’ very feminine grace.
